Heritage Lake Farm is located at 18657 Mumford Road, Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 in Troy Township, Geauga County. The farm is owned by the Gardner Family Limited Partnership, in which Marilyn and Michael Gardner are Co-General Partners.

This 100-acre farm features a 50-acre sugarbush for maple syrup production, 35 acres of tillable hay and crop fields, a historic clubhouse and two, secluded cabins that overlook a 2-acre spring-fed lake.
Heritage Lake Farm, LLC is a modern agricultural business that manages and markets its natural resources in order to sustain its farming operations so that future generations can continue to enjoy this beautiful land in perpetuity.
The year 2018 marked the first year Heritage Lake Farm produced and bottled its own maple syrup in its brand new sugarhouse. Our maple syrup is sold locally under the “Mike’s Maple” brand name. Mike's Maple syrup is USDA Grade A maple syrup, which has its own terroir that reflects the complete environment in which it is produced, including the soil, topography and local climate. Our maple syrup is all natural, 100% pure, and comes from a mix of sugar maple and red maple trees. We have 1475 taps under vacuum and boil the sap in a 5' x 14' wood-fired evaporator with 5' x 10' steam away sap pre-heater.
We also cultivate wild watercress and native chanterelle mushrooms (Cantharellus lateritius, the smooth chanterelle) and make horse hay on 17 acres. And we lease another 18 acres to a local dairy farmer for growing corn and soybeans.
Our goal is to develop a trusted relationship with customers/chefs/restauranteurs in order to satisfy their creative demand for the highest quality, locally grown farm products, delivered just-in-time for the ultimate experience in fresh food.
